Role Overview:
The Director of External and Commercial Communications will be responsible for developing and implementing the communications strategy for Mundipharma, both externally (media and issues/reputation management) and commercially (product communications). This role involves aligning with internal and external policies to support the global communications and commercial strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Mundipharma's media relations strategy, including monitoring media, crafting responses, managing media inquiries, and serving as a company spokesperson as needed.
- Establish and maintain processes, procedures, KPIs, and measurement tools to improve ROI, providing quarterly reports.
- Maintain relationships with public relations agencies globally to ensure timely responses and management of all media.
- Develop strategies to mitigate, avoid, or respond to reputational challenges, issues, and crises in partnership with the VP Communications.
- Collaborate with Scientific Affairs and Global Commercial to devise and implement communication strategies for new product introductions, regulatory milestones, and portfolio strategies.
- Ensure aligned communications across all internal and external audiences, providing coaching to Global Communications team members for professional development and communications excellence.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven extensive experience in global external communications.
- Previous experience in the pharmaceutical industry, especially in the launch of new pharma products.
- Understanding of the regulatory and commercial environments for pharma.
- Regional and/or global communications experience.
- Extensive issues and crisis management experience.
- Comprehensive regional and/or global media relations experience.
- Broad Communications leadership expertise.
- Experience working in fast-paced, global matrix organizations with cultural awareness and a global mindset.
